Parents are solely responsible for their children at all of our activities
We feel that we need to include this section now to ensure that parents/carers understand that they have to supervise their children and young people at our branch activities and events and be responsible for them and their behaviour.
If this does not happen, the branch committee will have to take appropriate action. The branch is run by parents who volunteer; we can not and will not be responsible for unsupervised children.
Payment for Branch Activities
Due to some families booking places at our events and not turning up on the day, we have no option but to request that families pay in advance in order to secure places at activities. We understand that there can be last minute meltdowns and illness but if you book a space it still costs the branch money when you dont attend. In order to ensure that the branch is not losing money and we can afford to continue running events, we have to adopt a pre-payment approach (with the exceptions of dance class and game board zone). In the event that we are able to fill cancelled spaces we will refund your money.
Cheques should be made payable to NAS Alton and posted with a note stating what event monies are being paid for. We will email you the address to send cheques to.
Cash can be paid at any of our meetings or other events.
Branch Membership
If you live in Alton, Bordon and the surrounding villages, then joining the branch is free and gives you access to our newsletter, mailing list, facebook group and the ability to attend our activities and events.
If you are outside the Alton, Bordon and surrounding villages you are welcome to sign up for our newsletter, but places at events are only offered out once all of our members have booked their places with the exception of Dance Class and Board Game Zone.
Photography/videos
If you would like to take photos of events/activities can you please let the Branch Officer know, this is simply because have somemembers who have requested that photographs of their family are not posted on facebook/newsletters/websites etc. We understand that you would only be taking pictures of your own child/ren but if others appear in the background and you post them on line, this could become problematic for the branch.
