2011 NAS Alton Fundraising event.

Sue Homer, Lara Bishop, Sarah Powell and Dawn Allen raised over £2,000 for NAS Alton when they walked for 7 hours up Mt Snowdon.

We would like to send out a massive thank you to these amazing ladies for their wonderful effort and for raising so much money.

Who would have believed that this picture was taken at the top???? They look so good!  Congratulations ladies and thank you x

This year NAS Alton is one of two charities that Councillor Saunders has chosen for the charities of the year.  We at NAS Alton would like to wish Hampshire Open Sight (Alton Blind Club), the other chosen charity our best wishes.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a warm thank you to Councillor Saunders for choosing us.

Other events that are raising NAS Alton much needed money

In April our Branch Officer Gail's husband Andrew is running the Brighton Marathon in aide of NAS and NAS Alton.  He has been collecting sponsorship like crazy and has also been training hard.  Good luck Andrew and thank you so much to all his generous sponsors.  Photos to follow.

We were delighted that the Harvest Church at the Alton Maltings Centre put us forward to be one of the charities collected for at their Christmas Day offering service 2010.  We were equally delighted to hear that this raised several hundred pounds for us and cannot thank them enough.

The Church of the Good Shepherd in Four Marks and the Rotary club collected for NAS Alton at their wonderful carol singing evening , 2010 outside of the Windmill Pub in Fourmarks.  A big thank you to them for thinking of us and helping us raise awareness and funds.

In November we were delighted to find out that Greggs had donated £1000 to NAS Alton, to support our after school clubs.

In October 2010 one of our members, Hayley Smith bravely ran the Bupa Great South Run in a fantastic time of 1hr 42 and came 9519 of about  23000.  She raised nearly £200 and we are so grateful and proud of her efforts!  Thank you Hayley.

Well done Hayley!

In October we were surprised and delighted to receive a £1000 from the Emilienne Charitable Trust.

We have been awarded £200 from Sainsburys  Local Hero's Scheme.    This is a scheme where Sainsburys employees who volunteer or fund raise for charity can apply for money for a charity of their choice in recognition for their work.  Thank you to Bobby for putting our name forward!

In the summer of 2009, students from Loughborough University undertook the 5 peak challenge (climbing the 5 highest mountains in Britain in under 72 hours! ) One of those students are long term friends with a member of our group and was absolutely delighted when she named NAS, Alton Branch as her designated charity.

We are so grateful for Carly, not just for thinking of us, but for all her efforts to raise nearly £700.

Thank you.  Your money will help so many families affected by Autism in the Alton area get the support they so need.
